25-Jun-2025:

• Packets were mailed to virtual race participants Monday, June 23. These should arrive by Friday, June 27.

• Pint glasses are guaranteed to the first 100 registered. In the event we run out, we will offer one of the 2023 or 2024 hats.

• Post-Race Raffle: After you finish the race, pull the tear off tag from the bottom of your number and put in the raffle jar on the table near the finish. You must be present at the raffle so please only add your number if you plan to stay for the raffle. The raffle and the awards will immediately follow the Kid’s Run at 8:30 AM.

23-Jun-2025: A couple updates:

• Course update: A minor change has been made to the course to make it the correct distance. Now when running down Monroe, between 2nd Ave and 1st Ave and just before Canyon View Park, you will make a left and do the short gravel road loop. The course will be marked with chalk on the road, cones, yellow turn arrows, and volunteers on course, so it should be easy to follow! The updated map can be seen on the “Race Course Description and Map” tab.

• Red Tail Therapy will be near the finish to provide complimentary compression recovery boot treatment, soft tissue massage, and cupping to help your recovery. Look for the flyer in your race packet for more information

• We are grateful for Beeps Pizza supporting the race this year. Look in your race packet for information!

19-Jun-2025: For the 2nd year in a row, 225 BBQ is providing gift certificates for the post-race raffle! Also, for the 2nd year in a row the race will be led out on horseback by royalty - your 2025 Lincoln County Fair Rodeo Queen!

11-Jun-2025: Raffle Updates: New this year, Afton Coffee Co & Bistro and Love Family Studio have donated gift certificates for the post-race raffle! Afton Coffee Co & Bistro will also be open before the race, and of course after as well, for some delicious breakfast options, Body Armour electrolyte drinks, and coffee!

31-Mar-2025: Race Registration is now Open and thank you for the Town of Afton and their sponsorship again for 2025! Virtual event new in 2025 If you can’t run but would still like to support the event and ABR you can sign up for the virtual event. Be sure to select “Virtual Freedom Festival Elkhorn 5K from the Contest drop down during registration!
